Boxing Conditioning

A2 Fitness boxing class is an explosive sport! Ballistic training methods are especially effective during weight training for boxing. Learn how to improve your strength and agility for boxing while focusing on:

  • Reactive power
  • Power endurance
  • Muscular endurance
  • Anaerobic endurance
  • Aerobic endurance

Boxing conditioning targets the following:

  • Onset of fatigue by increasing tolerance to lactic acid build-up
  • Increase stores of phospho-creatine to produce ATP
  • Delay of pre-mature use of the lactic acid system
  • Efficiency improvement of oxygen use
  • Advance recovery between intense bursts of activity

(All skill levels are welcome, the fundamentals are focused upon while conditioning. No equipment is needed for the first class. Students will then learn what they will need at their first class.)

Cardio Kick-Boxing

Cardio kick-boxing at A2 Fitness Professionals is a combination of aerobics, boxing, and martial arts. It is one of the most popular fitness trends to hit gymnasiums in recent years! During a one-hour kickboxing workout, you can burn from 500 to 800 calories. This is up to twice the calories you would burn during a one-hour step-aerobics class! This intense, total-body workout will improve strength, aerobic fitness, flexibility, coordination, and balance.

(Cardio kick-boxing students must already have above average endurance, strength, and flexibility.)

Kids Get Fit Challenge

Cost:$120/child or $200/couple for 8 week Challenge Course

You will learn the principles needed to attain and maintain better health and wellness habits at A2 Fitness Professionals. Using the FITT (frequency, intensity, time, and type) principles to develop an exercise program while managing what are known as the 3 F's (finding, fun, factors) of fitness to keep you motivated! Be prepared for boot camp type intensity, including lectures, class field trips, homework assignments, and in-class quizzes.

All levels of fitness are welcome

Self Defense

At A2 Fitness Professionals self defense classes, you will gain strength, patience, stability. Students learn how to properly defend themselves against potential attackers by utilizing advanced tactics that are taught and employed by the military.

(Femaile self defense students must be 14 years and older)

Martial arts taught at A2 Fitness Professionals ranges from Brazilian Jujitsu to Muay Thai, and students are allowed to demonstrate their techniques. Building from fundamental techniques in a series of grappling drills, then we teach drill series that can be performed as part of daily physical training. Beginners are welcome.

(Students must be 14 years and up.)

Zumba

A2 Fitness Professionals Zumba workout mixes body-sculpting movements with dance steps derived from cumbia, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, hip hop, mambo, rumba, flamenco, calypso, and Saslsaton. Participants will pump their legs, windmill their arms, gyrate their hips, clap their hands, dip, slide, and spin. Zumba is not only an amazing cardio workout, it's incredibly fun!
